What is the position title for the role?
Product Entry and Auditing Specialist

What would a typical day in this role look like? 
Entering new products, Entering purchase orders, and confirming accuracy of existing product data in purchase orders. Then work on auditing existing products not included in purchase orders, specifically improving descriptions or adding missing descriptions and adding additional images. Ask our team and our website developer for tasks to complete, generally related to the above or similar jobs.

What are the “must-have” skill sets of a successful candidate?
- Experience with Shopify and eCommerce platforms.
- Understanding of surf fashion and the broader surf culture.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and social media platforms.
- Ability to audit and suggest improvements for eCommerce websites.
- Good verbal communication skills for internal meetings
- Excellent written skills

What are the VA's primary responsibilities?
Product Entry:
- Verify existing items in the system to prevent duplication.
- Ensure barcodes are correct and match the products.
-  Add new products and variants into the system with all necessary details.
- Upload and resize images to meet pixel and size requirements.
- Write accurate product descriptions optimized for SEO.
- Set wholesale and retail pricing correctly.
- Verify product sizes and dimensions.
- Identify and report any issues with barcode entry, missing photos, or other product discrepancies.
- Cross-check product information on the Shopify website against the brand’s official site for accuracy.
- Assign correct product types, tags, and categories for efficient catalog management.
Auditing and Error Correction:
- Perform regular audits of the website to identify and correct minor errors.
- Compile a report of improvements or issues that require further review or decision-making.
- Propose website optimizations to improve user experience and product visibility.
Social Media Management:
- Assist in adding new products to social media platforms, using kits provided by brands.
- Ensure posts align with surf fashion and culture to engage the target audience effectively.

Australian Business Hours
40 hours/week
Monday-Friday
8am-5pm AEST
