Procurement Specialist
The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of experience in carrier sourcing and procurement within the logistics sector. They should be proficient in managing shipments, negotiating competitive rates, and enhancing overall supply chain performance. This position requires a dedicated work ethic, excellent communication abilities, and practical multitasking skills, all while maintaining a high standard of accuracy. The chosen individual will support the senior procurement team, contributing to various initiatives, including vendor management, cost reduction strategies, and fraud prevention efforts.

• Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and select suitable trucking carriers to fulfill order requirements while negotiating competitive rates and service agreements.
- Utilize RingCentral to facilitate effective communication and coordination with carriers and vendors.
- Oversee full truckload (FTL) shipments by obtaining and comparing quotations from multiple carriers.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all procurement activities, including vendor information, contracts, and shipment details.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify cost-effective vendors and enhance procurement processes.
- Assist the senior procurement team with administrative tasks, including data entry, report generation, and file management.
- Employ tracking tools to monitor shipments and detect potential instances of fraud.
- Contribute to enhancing supply chain performance through efficient procurement practices and cost-saving initiatives.
- Proactively identify and address procurement-related challenges.
- Manage inventory or order management responsibilities as assigned.
- Uphold a high standard of confidentiality regarding access to sensitive login information.

• Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, but candidates possessing an Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field are preferred.
- At least three years of experience in carrier sourcing and procurement within logistics is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using different logistics software tools and applications.
- Experience working overnight shifts (required).
- Reliable internet access, including a backup option (e.g., prepaid Wi-Fi/Data) (required).
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
