About you:
As the Procurement Officer you will be responsible for stock cost-efficiencies, inventory supply and control and processing orders. Your actions will directly impact business success.
You are an energetic individual who is reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment. You have strong administrative, collaborative and customer service skills. You will be able to work individually or within the team and have excellent communication skills. Most importantly, be highly motivated and a fast learner.
Duties Include:
Supplier price checking, updating and monitoring & sourcing
Proactively cross check supplier bulk buying rates and deals.
Competitive pricing analysis and maintenance.
Assist in cost analysis, budgeting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Inventory Management
Keep inventory lean, and product SKUs never empty.
Forecast stock needs based on real-time sales data and lead times—never overbuy, never run out.
Utilising systems to visualise when and how much stock we need to reorder.
Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) while ensuring timely delivery and supply chain efficiency.
Follow up back order SKUs, as well as cross check with suppliers, and that new SKUs are inputted correctly.
Supplier Performance Management
Monitor supplier performance, alert any delays and take fast action to keep things running smoothly. In particular, close monitoring and cross checking of purchase orders - correct pricing and product received.
Ensure payment timelines are smooth and supplier relationships remain strong.
Maintain accurate procurement records, generate reports, and ensure compliance company requirements.
Essential:
A well-rounded retailer, accountant or book keeper, or office manager with a minimum of 3-5 years experience
You have a proven track record in driving and exceeding set KPI's
Prior experience in book keeping and/or procurement
Strong administrative & computer skills
High level of written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention for detail
Proactive who doesn’t wait for problems—you anticipate and eliminate
Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new software & programs
Ability to manage competing priorities, tasks and overall expectations
Must be adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Fluent written and spoken English
Able to work with minimal supervision
Independent thinking, analytic and problem solving skills
Numeracy
Desirable:
An interest in caravanning or camping holidays
