Procurement Director (Mandarin Speaker)

Time-zone: Philippine Time (with flexibility for China/U.S. coordination)

ABOUT THE ROLE:
A U.S.-based medical and educational supply company is seeking a Procurement Director to oversee the entire international life cycle of the supply chain. This role involves assessing vendor performance, sourcing new factories, and optimizing procurement processes. The position requires regular travel to Chinese factories and occasional after-hours work.

ABOUT YOU:
Are you an experienced procurement leader with deep expertise in Chinese manufacturing? Do you excel at building strategic vendor relationships and optimizing complex supply chains? We're looking for a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence while developing and mentoring international procurement teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and future vendors
- Performance Management: Create and implement supplier performance metrics and management programs
- Strategic Sourcing: Source and establish new factories meeting manufacturing needs and industry standards
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement policies to improve supply chain efficiency
- Quality Control: Conduct regular visits to Chinese factories for quality assurance
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor international procurement team to achieve goals
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with US and International team

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience with quality control processes and factory audits
- Proven experience working with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent English language skills (in both written and verbal communication)
- Native Mandarin language skills (in both written and verbal communication)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (including Outlook and Excel), and WeChat
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (Latin Honors and/or Academic Scholar from a reputable college preferred)

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
BONUS: You have experience in medical or educational supply procurement.
