JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT US:
MostlyBooked is a leading pricing agency specializing in maximizing revenue for our clients through strategic pricing decisions. We're a growing team of data-driven professionals passionate about helping short-term rental hosts succeed in an increasingly competitive market.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking Pricing Analysts to join our team. This is a decision-making role, where you’ll analyze data and trends to make impactful pricing recommendations for our clients.

We’re not looking for technical data scientists or SQL specialists—instead, we’re searching for critical thinkers with strong analytical skills who can interpret data, identify patterns, and make informed, strategic decisions.

This role is perfect for those with backgrounds in data-heavy or decision-focused fields (e.g., economics, finance, teaching, or analytics) who are ready to apply their skills to pricing strategy. Experience with Airbnb or PriceLabs is not required—we’ll provide full training. What matters most is your ability to think critically, make confident decisions, and deliver results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Interpretation & Pricing Decisions: Analyze property and market data to make strategic pricing recommendations.
- Revenue Optimization: Ensure clients’ listings are priced optimally to maximize revenue and occupancy.
- Trend Analysis: Identify trends in the short-term rental market and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
- Competitor Insights: Use market data to benchmark and adjust against competitors.
- Regular Monitoring: Track listing performance and proactively refine strategies to stay competitive.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We want decision-makers who thrive on solving problems, analyzing trends, and applying their findings to deliver results. You don’t need technical skills like SQL or dashboard creation, but you must enjoy working with data and have the confidence to make decisions based on it.

Key Qualities We’re Looking For:
- Critical Thinker: Someone who can analyze a situation and confidently make decisions.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Comfort with numbers, data, and identifying patterns or trends.
- Problem-Solver: You’re driven to find solutions and adapt strategies to achieve the best outcomes.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy are essential in this role.
- Self-Motivated: Thrives in a remote work environment, manages time well, and can work independently.

DESIRED BACKGROUNDS (Examples):
While direct experience with Airbnb or PriceLabs is not required, we’re looking for candidates with transferable skills and experience:

- Math tutoring or teaching: Strong analytical thinking, pattern recognition, and attention to detail.
- Finance, accounting, or auditing: Skilled in interpreting numbers and making data-driven decisions.
- Economics, statistics, or quantitative fields: Experienced in analyzing trends, forecasting, and working with data.
- Other analytical or strategic roles: Business analysts, digital marketing analysts, or similar backgrounds where decision-making was key.

COMMITMENT & AVAILABILITY
This role requires focus, availability, and dedication to deliver results for our clients. We’re looking for candidates who can give this position the attention it deserves, not as a secondary commitment or part-time role.

If you are already working full-time or have significant other commitments, please reflect carefully on whether this role aligns with your availability and ability to commit fully to the position.

In the application process, we’ll ask about your current workload and availability to ensure this role is the right fit for you and us.

TRAINING PROGRAM:
We provide a comprehensive training program (5-6 hours) with video modules and short exams. This training is unpaid, and here’s why:

We ask for this upfront commitment to ensure you can grasp the concepts and skills necessary to succeed in this role. The training allows both you and us to assess whether this role is the right fit. We want to be confident that you’re ready to join the team and contribute meaningfully.

Once hired, you’ll start at $4/hr. After three months of consistent performance, demonstrated results, and a strong commitment to our clients, your rate will rise to $4.50/hr, with further growth opportunities as the company scales.

WHAT WE OFFER:
- Hands-on Training: Learn industry-leading platforms like PriceLabs and Airbnb.
- Remote Work: Work from the comfort of your home, with a team that supports you every step of the way.
- Opportunities for Growth: As the company scales, so will your opportunities for career progression.
- Mission-Driven Work: Be part of a team dedicated to helping short-term rental hosts achieve their goals while growing a cutting-edge business.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to complete the unpaid training program.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Reliable internet connection and a comfortable remote working setup.

WHO THIS POSITION IS NOT FOR:
This role is not for people who:

- Specialize in SQL queries, dashboard creation, or technical data preparation roles.
- Focus on preparing or cleaning data for others to analyze rather than making decisions themselves.
- Have a background in pure data science, machine learning, or academic research that doesn’t involve real-world decision-making.
- Excel in building technical systems (e.g., APIs, data pipelines) but lack experience applying data to solve problems.
- Prefer creating dashboards or reports rather than interpreting data and acting on it.
- Struggle with making confident decisions based on data or thrive only in roles where tasks are highly structured and predictable.

HOW TO APPLY:
If you’re excited about this opportunity and believe you have the skills and mindset to excel in this role, we’d love to hear from you!

Please submit:

Your resume.
- A brief cover letter explaining why your background makes you the ideal candidate.
- Examples of how you’ve used data or analysis to make decisions or solve problems in previous roles (if applicable).
- We’re looking for individuals who are confident, detail-oriented, and excited to contribute to the success of our clients and company. Let us know why that’s you!
