The People & Culture / HR Manager will be the key HR representative for Ethnolink's team in the Philippines. Acting as the "boots on the ground," this role will provide Human Resources (HR) support, coaching, and development for the team while managing key HR functions such as hiring, onboarding, and escalation of HR matters. The role is essential in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the well-being and professional growth of the Philippines-based team.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary HR contact for the Philippines team, addressing HR-related queries and concerns.
• Support employee well-being by managing health management plans (HMO).
• Lead the recruitment and hiring process for new tea
• Facilitate the onboarding of new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and development support to the Philippines team.
• Assist in performance management by advising on best practices and feedback mechanisms.
• Act as the escalation point for HR matters and utilising the external HR Consultant as required, ensuring prompt resolution of concerns.
• Foster employee engagement and team cohesion through initiatives and activities.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and company policies.
• Support learning and development initiatives to upskill the team.
• Collaborate with the Australian-based external HR Consultant to align HR practices and policies.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation for the Philippines team.
• Handle any other HR and administrative duties as required to support the team.
• Any reasonable task as requested by your Manager or the business.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor education or higher in human resource management
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in an HR, people & culture, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, recruitment, and employee engagement.
• Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with Philippine labour laws and HR compliance requirements.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, and team development.
• Proficiency in HR software and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Suite, Slack, Zoom).
• A proactive and people-focused approach to HR and culture development.
