We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for individuals with a deep understanding of building plans and office fit-out processes. The successful candidate will possess expertise in architectural drafting, planning, furniture fit-out, or site planning, contributing significantly to our project estimation processes. As a Project Estimator, you will be essential in ensuring the accurate assessment of project costs, which is crucial for the successful planning and execution of our projects. Your role will involve working closely with project managers, architects, and designers to deliver precise cost estimates that align with our strategic objectives and client needs.

Responsibilities:

Project Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of building plans, specifications, and related documents to accurately determine project scope, materials, and required resources.

Cost Estimation: Utilize expertise in construction and fit-out to provide detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring all aspects of the project are financially accounted for.

Drafting and Planning: Apply architectural drafting skills to interpret complex building plans, aiding in the precise estimation and identification of project requirements and potential challenges.

Furniture and Fit-Out Estimation: Estimate costs related to interior design, layout, and furnishings, incorporating your knowledge of furniture fit-out into the financial planning process.

Site Planning Considerations: Evaluate site plans and logistics to address site-specific challenges and factor in access, utilities, and other logistical elements into the project cost.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to refine cost estimations and align them with project goals and client expectations.

Estimation Tools: Leverage advanced estimating software and databases to enhance the accuracy and reliability of cost predictions.

Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of estimations, including detailed breakdowns and justifications for costs and methodologies used.

Client Proposals: Assist in the creation of comprehensive budget proposals, providing clients with transparent and detailed cost breakdowns.

Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of industry trends, updates in construction methodologies, and pricing standards to continually refine and improve estimation practices.

Requirements:

Proven track record in project estimation, specifically within the construction and commercial office fit-out sectors.

Advanced proficiency in interpreting building plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Background in architectural drafting, planning, furniture fit-out, or site planning highly beneficial.

Strong analytical capabilities and exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical team members and clients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe tools, and estimation software.

Desirable:

Experience with the latest estimation software and tools.

Prior involvement in large-scale construction or architectural projects.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
