Part Time Medical Coder

We are seeking an experienced medical biller/coder for our medium sized specialty medical practice. This will be a part time schedule between 10-20 hours per week.


Posting charges
Complete claims to payers using EHR system
Audit claims in a professional and timely fashion
Submit billing data to insurance providers
Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided
Check and resolve referral and prior authorization issues
Check for issues with modifiers, coding and place of service


Qualifications

Experience with Athena
Minimum 2 years experience as a medical coder
Certified professional coder through AAPC preferred
