This role will begin as Part time and is expected to become full time.

Key Responsibilities:
• Draft Legal Documents: Prepare drafts of petitions, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other documents for California real estate conflict cases.
• Discovery Management: Coordinate initial discovery requests and responses, including drafting interrogatories and managing discovery timelines.
• Hearing and Deposition Scheduling: Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and other meetings. Prepare and distribute notices of hearings, coordinating with courts, opposing counsel, and clients.
• Client Communication: Communicate with clients, gathering case information, updating clients on case progress, and clarifying legal procedures as needed.
• Case File Management: Organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, manage document filing, and update case statuses using Excel templates and internal systems.
• Legal Research: Conduct basic legal research, analyzing relevant statutes, case law, and regulations specific to California real estate law.
• Court Filings: Prepare and electronically file legal documents with California state courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulations. Preferred experience with platforms such as One Legal, File & ServeXpress, CourtFiling.net, eFileCA, and Green Filing.
• Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks, such as organizing exhibits, maintaining attorney calendars, and drafting client correspondence.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a paralegal, preferably with a focus on California real estate law or civil litigation.
• California-Specific Skills: Experience with e-filing systems and procedures in California courts is strongly preferred.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel and Adobe, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience as a remote paralegal for a California law firm.
• Specialized knowledge in California real estate law and mediation.
• Familiarity with California-specific e-filing portals (e.g., One Legal, File & ServeXpress, CourtFiling.net).

This role is perfect for a motivated paralegal who is eager to grow with a law practice focused on California real estate conflicts.

To Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter detailing your experience with California real estate law and remote paralegal work.
