About the Firm: We are a dynamic law firm specializing in California business law, civil litigation, plaintiff and defense employment law, family law, and ADA defense. Our firm is dedicated to providing excellent legal services to our clients, and we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Preparation: Draft letters, complaints, and legal documents using templates related to California business law, civil litigation, employment law, family law, and ADA defense.
Calendaring: Manage and maintain the firm’s calendar, including scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines using online tools.
File Organization: Maintain an organized and accessible electronic filing system, using cloud storage solutions to ensure documents are easily retrievable for legal proceedings.
Client Billing: Prepare and send invoices through online billing software, track payments, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Administrative Support: Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries using VOIP and
Office Management: Coordinate with a local office manager for any physical office needs and handle tasks like ordering supplies remotely.
Client Interaction: Ensure clients receive timely responses through remote communication channels, supporting attorneys with case preparation and document management.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional legal training or certification is a plus.
Experience: Prior experience as a legal assistant in California business law, civil litigation, employment law, family law, or ADA defense is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based legal software, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
