We're seeking a Paralegal; Litigation Coordinator who wants to grow to their full potential with our team and Company for years to come. In this position, you will provide professional assistance on U.S. legal matters, focusing on handling post-defendant identification cases, with a focus on U.S. small claims court. This role requires expertise in writing and drafting legal complaints, managing jurisdictional issues, and electronically submitting documents to the court. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys legal writing, and excels at managing the virtual court process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Complaint Preparation: Draft complaint and other pertinent legal documents to be filed for litigation.
•Case Filing: Efficiently handle the electronic filing of legal documents such as complaints and other case-related materials, from small claims court to federal court, ensuring all filings are completed on time and in compliance with court procedures.
•Research: Conduct jurisdictional research and ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards throughout the filing process.
•Document and Record Management: Organize and maintain digital case files, ensuring that all documents are properly labeled, indexed, and stored in accordance with established record-keeping protocols.

•Coordinate with legal teams and court officials as necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must be amenable to work 34 hrs per week, during U.S. business hours.
Shifts are 7 hours Monday to Thursday and 6 hours on Friday (PST/PDT) or 7 hours Tuesday to Friday and 6 hours on Saturday (PHT)
•PST/PDT
Shift : M-TH 1 pm - 8 pm & Fri 1 pm - 7 pm = 34 hours
•PHT/Philippines Time
Shift : T-Fri 4 am - 11 am & Sat 4 am - 10 am = 34 hours
Please Note: Daylight Savings will affect these hours biannually.
•Juris Doctor Graduate, Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, or related field.
•Excellent oral and written English.
•Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
•Strong report writing and internet searching skills.
•Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
•The ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
•Personal drive, initiative, and resourcefulness with strong organizational skills within a highly dynamic changing environment.
•Quality noise-canceling USB headset and personal computer to be used for work, with a reliable internet connection and, in case of loss of power or internet, a backup plan or location that provides power and internet connection within 60 minutes of an outage.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
•2+ years of experience as a paralegal.
•With experience in drafting complaints and legal documents for U.S. courts.
•Strong understanding of legal terminology, principles, and procedures.
•Familiarity with U.S. law.
•Attention to detail when preparing/drafting legal documents.
•Experience using Rapid Legal, LetterStream and other relevant software (a plus).
•Familiarity with up-to-date remote work software (Zoho suits, desktop sharing, cloud services, etc).
