We are seeking a Paralegal with experience in Trust Administration under California law, preferably with knowledge of Santa Cruz County regulations and procedures. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in managing trust administration cases, preparing legal documents, and ensuring compliance with state and local trust laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in trust administration processes, including asset inventory, beneficiary communications, and trust distributions
- Prepare and draft trust-related legal documents, including accountings, affidavits, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research on California trust laws and ensure compliance with state requirements
- Manage and organize case files, deadlines, and court filings
- Coordinate with clients, financial institutions, and other parties involved in trust administration
Qualifications:
- Experience in Trust Administration under California law (Santa Cruz County preferred)
- Strong knowledge of estate and trust procedures, filings, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Clio, Clio Draft (formerly LawYaw), Microsoft Word, and Outlook
- Excellent legal writing, research, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently
