PHPList (Email Developer)

Role Overview

We are seeking a PHPList Expert with strong development skills to oversee and optimize email marketing campaigns, ensuring seamless integration with our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of PHPList configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance, combined with front-end expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for developing responsive and visually appealing email templates and interfaces.
If applicable, candidates with extensive experience in Salesrobot will have an advantage, as it aligns with our goals of driving engagement and automating email workflows.
The role requires strong technical skills to maintain the reliability, performance, and security of the PHPList platform while collaborating with marketing and development teams to drive effective campaigns and user engagement.

Key Responsibilities
PHPList Administration:
Configure, maintain and optimize the PHPList platform for email marketing campaigns.
Monitor and improve email deliverability, managing SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configurations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to email delivery, campaign performance, and system integrations.
Regularly apply security patches and updates to protect the platform from vulnerabilities.
Integrate PHPList with external tools and APIs (e.g., CRMs, CMSs).
Document system configurations, updates, and processes to ensure smooth handovers and operational continuity.


Front-End Development:
Design and develop responsive, user-friendly email templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
Collaborate with the design team to translate mockups into functional front-end components.
Maintain consistent branding across emails, landing pages, and web applications.
Work on front-end features for email campaigns, including subscription forms, landing pages, and CTAs.
Optimize templates for performance, accessibility, and user engagement.
Collaboration and Technical Support:
Provide technical support to the marketing team for campaign-related challenges.
Collaborate with marketing teams to align campaign objectives with technical solutions.
Suggest strategies to enhance email open rates, click-through rates, and overall user engagement.
Share best practices for email marketing, coding standards, and platform optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
PHPList Expertise:
Deep understanding of PHPList architecture, customization, and maintenance.
Proven experience with troubleshooting and resolving email delivery challenges.
Extensive experience with Salesrobot is a significant plus.
Front-End Development:
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email and landing page development.
Familiarity with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js) is a plus.
Back-End and Integration:
Strong proficiency in PHP for maintaining and improving existing codebases.
Experience with RESTful APIs for integrating PHPList with external platforms.
In-depth knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB for database management and optimization.
Infrastructure and Security:
Proven expertise in configuring and managing AWS SES and RDS.
Experience with Linux server administration (e.g., Ubuntu).
Solid understanding of email protocols, including SMTP, and deliverability frameworks (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

Other Skills:
Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Strong understanding of email marketing principles, including segmentation, A/B testing, and personalization.
Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

Experience:
At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing PHPList or similar email marketing platforms.
A strong portfolio showcasing responsive email templates and landing pages.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing and design.
