BASIC JOB SUMMARY

In this role, you will be assigned as a fully dedicated Outbound M&A Broker, reporting to the Commercial Director of Sales for one of our clients, a rapidly expanding online marketplace for buying and selling online businesses.

The key purpose of this role is to identify and generate new business opportunities for the client. Utilizing various methods, such as, but not limited to, cold calling, email campaigns, in-person visits, and various networking opportunities, you will own the full sales cycle from winning listings to matching high-quality business owners with acquisition-fit buyers through to a sale. This role is best suited for those with a hunter mentality.

This role requires someone with a background in M&A. Salesmanship is critical in addition to the financial background.


**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Hunt for new business opportunities.
* Win listings to the Client platform and manage them through to sale.
* Conduct research to identify new markets and prospects.
* Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
* Promote the company’s products/services addressing prospects' objectives.
* Maintain CRM hygiene.
* Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
* Cultivate relationships within private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, corporations, family offices, and among individual entrepreneurs.
* Gather crucial information about potential businesses from prospective clients.
* Conduct a thorough analysis of financials, metrics, and operational data provided by clients.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and various internal teams within the Client org to create and present comprehensive analyses and presentations aimed at persuading clients to engage the Client for proposed transactions.
* Assist the Commercial Director or other senior professionals at the Client in presenting new business proposals to both existing and prospective clients.
* Take the lead in crafting marketing materials that facilitate client understanding of Client’s products, services, qualifications, areas of expertise, and operational processes.
* Participate in the preparation of basic legal documents required for the onboarding process.
* Identify potential new clients, including those not currently connected with the Client.
* Offer expert advice to clients on the strategic and financial aspects of transactions.
* Negotiate optimal terms and conditions on behalf of clients for proposed transactions.
* Provide comprehensive guidance and support to clients throughout the transaction process.
* Manage a portfolio of high-value deals.
* Be a singular point for deal-by-deal transaction management, and you are responsible for ‘closing the deal’ and helping business owners to achieve an exit.
* Work with sellers to prepare their P&L statements with accurate revenue and expense data.
* Do whatever it takes to get a deal done. The Outbound Broker is measured on successful transactions and client satisfaction.

* Building and maintaining a professional network to provide a continuous stream of leads and referrals.
* Familiarity with sales and CRM tools like HubSpot for organizing leads, tracking interactions, and managing follow-ups efficiently.
* Adaptability in sales strategies based on feedback and changing market conditions.
* Analytical skills to assess data, sales metrics, and prospect behavior, providing valuable insights for refining sales strategies.
* Customer-centric mindset, striving to provide exceptional service to create a positive customer experience and foster loyalty.
