JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary:
The Order Management and Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end order fulfillment process, for our client partners. This includes customer order management, inventory control, and logistics coordination for B2B Sales Orders, DTC order communication, and Amazon FBA shipments. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the CPG industry, experience with logistics and order management, a strong attention to detail, and familiarity with Google suite, MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Amazon Seller Central, SPS Commerce EDI and Shopify.

This role will work closely with clients, third party brokers and Van Wyck Ops internal team to ensure that customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management & Fulfillment:
Manage the entire order lifecycle from receipt of customer purchase order to delivery, ensuring accurate order entry, timely processing, and fulfillment.
Collaborate with freight brokers, third-party logistics (3PL) partners, and customer transportation management systems (TMS) to coordinate shipments and resolve any order or shipping issues.
Act as a point of contact for customer service, resolving order inquiries and managing expectations regarding delivery timelines.
Organize and file relevant shipping documents in company systems.
Accurately maintain company spreadsheets and systems with relevant order and shipping data.

Logistics Management:
Manage relationships with carriers and 3PL partners to optimize transportation costs and delivery timelines.
Negotiate freight rates and oversee the performance of logistics vendors.
Track and analyze shipping costs, transit times, and service levels to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery solutions.
Develop and implement strategies to improve shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and support the company's growth.

SOPs:
Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for order management, fulfillment, and logistics.
