With a growing retail presence in Whole Foods Market, Erewhon, and other premium retailers, we are scaling our operations and seeking a highly organized Operations Manager to help drive efficiency in production, manufacturing, and procurement.
Role Overview
As our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain, from ingredient sourcing to finished product distribution. You will work closely with co-manufacturers, suppliers, and fulfillment teams to ensure seamless operations while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage logistics, streamline processes, and support SEEDLY’s rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Manufacturing
• Oversee contract manufacturers (co-packers), ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost controls.
• Troubleshoot production bottlenecks, identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for production workflow and inventory management.
• Conduct quality control audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Procurement & Supply Chain
• Source and negotiate with ingredient and packaging suppliers to optimize cost and quality.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, tracking supply chain lead times and minimizing disruptions.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with SEEDLY’s commitment to sustainability.
• Ensure all raw materials meet SEEDLY’s organic, non-GMO, and clean-label ingredient standards.
Logistics & Fulfillment
• Oversee warehousing and distribution processes to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Manage third-party logistics (3PL) relationships to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor freight and transportation costs, optimizing for cost savings while maintaining reliability.
General Operations & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA Organic, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and operational agreements.
• Identify technology solutions to streamline operations and reporting.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to support strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in operations, supply chain management, or production within the food industry/CPG experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of co-manufacturing, procurement, and logistics preferred.
• Experience with inventory management software, ERP systems, or supply chain tools preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations, certifications, and quality control preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve and implement process improvements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
