News writer for international video agency

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented news writer to contribute to our fast-paced news output. The ideal candidate should have a passion for journalism, exceptional news writing skills, a keen interest in current world events and the ability to check facts quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Writing short news summaries and video captions for content submitted by our partner news agencies
• Summarizing complex world events in a few lines
• Fact checking videos, situations and details
• Collaborating with editors and other teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to ensure accuracy and quality of content
• Adhering to deadlines and producing content that meets editorial standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as a news writer, reporter or journalist, preferably in digital media
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
• Ability to write clear, engaging, and accurate content under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of AP style and journalistic ethics
• Proficiency in conducting online research and using digital publishing tools
