Network Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Network Engineer with expertise in Layer 2 (L2) switching and Layer 3 (L3) routing technologies. This role will focus on designing, configuring, and maintaining robust enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring low latency, high availability, and secure connectivity across our environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise L2/L3 network engineering
• Strong understanding and practical experience with:
o VLANs, trunking, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Rapid-PVST, PortFast, BPDU Guard
o Link aggregation protocols (EtherChannel, LACP)
o Dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and route summarization
o Routing redistribution and policy-based routing
• Experience configuring and supporting Cisco or similar enterprise networking equipment
• Familiarity with IP address management, subnetting, and network design best practices
• Strong troubleshooting skills with packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
• Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:
• CCNA or CCNP certification (or equivalent knowledge)
• Familiarity with multicast, QoS, and advanced routing techniques
• Knowledge of SD-WAN or network automation (Ansible, Python) is a plus
