We are a dynamic company specializing in delivering innovative solutions for the conference and trade show industry. Our flagship native Android app plays a pivotal role in enhancing attendee experiences, providing robust features for navigation, engagement, and more.

We’re looking for a talented Native Android Developer to join our team full-time and help elevate our app to the next level.

What You’ll Do:
Develop and maintain features for a native Android app using Kotlin and Java.
Implement clean, maintainable, and scalable code using MVVM architecture.
Work with Coroutines for asynchronous programming and manage data serialization with Kotlin Serialization.
Configure and manage build variants to streamline app deployments.
Design intuitive and dynamic user interfaces with XML and integrate them into app workflows.
Implement and optimize local data storage using SQLite.
Integrate camera functionalities using CameraX and enhance image processing with Glide or Picasso.
Work closely with APIs using OkHttp and Retrofit, and leverage Firebase/FireStore for backend support.
Utilize Google Code Scanner and AndroidX Custom Tabs to add advanced features.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to ensure seamless functionality.
Use GitHub for source control and effective collaboration within a remote team.

Must-Have Skills:
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
Experience with MVVM architecture and Coroutines.
Strong knowledge of Kotlin Serialization and configuring build variants.
Expertise in XML layout design and local database management with SQLite.
Experience working with CameraX and popular image libraries like Glide or Picasso.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and networking libraries such as OkHttp and Retrofit.
Familiarity with Firebase/FireStore and Google Code Scanner.
Knowledge of Custom Tabs (AndroidX browser) for web integrations.
Proficient in using version control tools like GitHub.

Bonus Points For:
Experience with Jetpack Compose.
Knowledge of trade show or event management applications.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Android apps.

Work Schedule:
This is a remote position requiring 8 AM to 4 PM CST working hours.
