Job:
- customer service/speaking
- Data entry into the electronic health records
- Be able to look for information and put into electronic health records
- Rename and organize files and records
- Answer phone calls – taking detailed messages for doctors, checking phone messages daily
- Electronically fax documents to physicians and following up on results
- Work on prior authorizations – speaking to insurance companies if needed
- Schedule patients
- Making sure documents are all filled out correctly
- Complete insurance verification for each patient prior to their visit into clinic
- Obtain documentation requested by healthcare providers (test results or documentation not yet filed in records)
- Organize and research patient records, extract needed information, and review records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency within established guidelines
- Protect patient’s rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
Must:
- Have good English skills
- Can talk on phone all day
- Multi-task, communicate effectively and work well with others
- Be a good teamplayer
- Well organized – organizing files into patient charts, working on
