Position: Home Health Medical Biller & Coder (Remote) [R-QCHH-1.1]
Position Type: Full Time (40 hours/week) with potential for increased hours
Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST
Work Days: Monday to Friday & weekends (flexibility required)

Salary:
*Probationary Period (First 3 Months): $5 – $6 per hour
*Post-Probation (After 3 Months): $6 – $7 per hour (based on performance and experience)
*For Candidates Handling Both Billing & Coding: Eligible for up to $8 per hour after probation if they are experienced in both home health medical billing and medical coding (including certification).

We’re Looking For:
A skilled Medical Biller and/or Coder with Home Health experience, proficient in WellSky/Kinnser and Waystar. Ideally, we’d love to hire someone who has experience in both billing and coding, but we are open to hiring separate professionals for each role.

*Medical Biller Responsibilities:
1.Submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance for home health services
2.Review and verify patient eligibility, authorizations, and insurance coverage
3.Handle claim rejections, denials, and resubmissions efficiently
4.Post payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding claims
5.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer-specific regulations

*Medical Coder Responsibilities:
1.Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for home health services
2.Review clinical documentation to ensure proper coding and claim submission
3.Stay up-to-date with coding changes and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines
4.Assist in coding audits and ensure claim accuracy to reduce denials
5. Collaborate with billers to resolve coding-related claim issues

Qualifications & Skills:
1.Experience in Home Health Billing and/or Coding (required)
2.Proficiency in WellSky/Kinnser and Waystar (a plus)
3.Knowledge of Medicare & Medicaid billing guidelines
4.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
5.Medical Coding Certification (CPC, CCS, etc.) is a plus but not required
6.Ability to participate in virtual meetings when required (Zoom, Google Meet) with the video turned on
7.Be a self-starter & demonstrate leadership in responsibilities
8.Ability to work without micromanagement
9.Maintain strong attention to detail and work efficiently
