As a Billing Specialist, you are crucial in ensuring accurate billing processes. Your responsibilities include handling electronic and/or paper claims, managing rejections and denials, monitoring claims status, and documenting related account activities. Your primary goal is to facilitate the flow of medical billing information, ensuring that healthcare providers receive payment for their services.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate Billing: You are responsible for precise billing.
Claims Collection: Monitor the status of claims, follow up on unpaid claims promptly, and address any issues.
Commercial Insurance Expertise: Understand commercial insurance payer payment methods and apply this knowledge to billing processes.
Billing System Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency with the billing system, utilizing all available functionality for efficient claims processing.
Goal-Oriented: Meet individual and team goals, minimizing errors as assigned by the billing manager.
Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with colleagues, managers, and other tea
Prioritization and Multitasking: Prioritize tasks effectively and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Qualifications:
Access to a quiet workspace, your computer, high-speed internet, and a hands-free headset/noise cancelation for receiving calls and making calls.
Previous experience working from home is required.
Proficiency in medical billing and collections processes.
