Working Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM Arizona time (11 PM - 7 AM Philippines)

We are dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our team. Position Overview: The Medical Billing and Coding Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies. This role involves coding procedures, diagnoses, and services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, as well as following up on outstanding claims, verifying insurance coverage, and handling any billing-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures based on medical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with medical billing and coding regulations, including HIPAA.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims.
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for services.
- Work with healthcare providers and patients to resolve billing and coding discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of patient billing and coding information.
- Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding claims and payment collections.
- Assist in generating financial reports related to billing and coding.
- Stay updated on changes in coding and billing regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA) is required.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in medical billing and coding.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software (e.g., [insert specific software if applicable]).

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
