Job:
- Customer service/speaking
- Billing CPT codes already provided, no coding needed (but a plus if you have)
- Following up on billing to ensure payment is received and processed
- Calling insurance companies to fix denials and work on appeals
- Data entry into the electronic health records
- Be able to look for information and put into electronic health records
- Rename and organize files and records
- Work on prior authorizations – speaking to insurance companies if needed
- Making sure documents are all filled out correctly
- Complete insurance verification for each patient prior to patient visit into clinic
- Organize and research patient records, extract needed information, and review records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency within established guidelines
- Protect patient’s rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
Must:
- Have good English skills
- Can talk on phone all day if needed
- Multi-task, communicate effectively and work well with others
- Be a good teamplayer
- Well organized – organizing files into patient charts, working on ensuring data submitted is correct data
