JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Media Editor Virtual Assistant


BANTUFY is a film entertainment company that is passionate about community and aims to reinvigorate the cultural trajectory of BIPOC groups in media. We create a space for the marginalized to cultivate culture and community through film and educational programming.

We’re looking for a dedicated Media Editor (Video editor) with 1+ years of previous social media management experience to create and post weekly content for multiple brands on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & YouTube amongst others. MUST ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE EDITING VIDEOS.

This Media Editor does NOT need experience on all of these platforms. But experience in most is preferred. In addition, you will be asked to keep an eye on competitive companies in the marketplace so we can stay ahead of competition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Edit, color & export videos with Adobe premiere pro, Capcut or other software
Creating graphics from scratch, using existing templates & content in Canva or other editing tools
Schedule content in advance using social media scheduling software.
Creating captions for all scheduled posts
Resharing daily Instagram reels & posts on stories
Creating & sharing 1-2 Instagram stories per week
Reposting published TikToks without watermark on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Stories, Pinterest Idea Pins, Twitter & LinkedIn (adjusting copy/hashtags to each platform)
Sharing YouTube videos to Facebook Page, Instagram Stories & Pinterest
Checking daily inbox for tagged content to save & reshare

Note: Some of these tasks are not needed for all brands.


REQUIREMENTS

Speak & write in fluent English
Proficiency in Editing videos with Adobe premiere pro, Capcut or other software
Experience using a social media scheduling tool (Hootsuite, Later, Buffer, etc)
Experience posting to Instagram
Experience with Youtube Management and Content Creation
Experience designing websites via squarespace. Or a very quick learner.
At least 1 years experience as a Social Media Manager (Preferred)
Experience with hashtag research (either manually or using a tool like Flich.tech)
Experience with Adobe suite
Graphic design experience needed - though Canva templates can/will be used, applicant MUST have good graphic skills and aesthetic sense (spacing, colors, scales, etc)
Available for 20 hours per week



COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary - $3 USD/hr
Part time position - To grow into Full time

We will work with your schedule to set a calendar in place that works best for you.
Most (but not all) content will be provided for you to schedule/ create though some content you will need to develop with your own creativity (should be fun)!

This is a remotely administered PART TIME [20 hr/week] position with intention to grow to FULL TIME [40 hr/week].
