Media Buyer in a Course Marketing Agency

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our US based business (Smart Brand Marketing) helps course creators, authors and coaches sell more online courses.
You need to understand ad platforms (FB/IG/Adwords) and be able to quickly learn others, be results driven, detail-oriented, hard-working, highly organized, and have your own unique creative approach.

This is a fully remote position.

We are searching for a person who loves to produce amazing ads, connect them with the right people and split test to support our marketing efforts.

We require that you possess the skills to design ads and write copy. Mastery of the ad platforms mentioned above is essential.

We provide some training and support but do expect you to also be able and find solutions on your own. This is not beginner role as we expect you to show results fast.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Salary is negotiable dependent on your experience. We can pay between $450+ (part time) | $900 - $1,425 (full time) per month.

If you’re an expert at running ads that perform and are passionate about advertising then we want to hear from you.

This is suitable for someone hard-working with proven experience as a media buyer or a similar role. You should possess excellent communication sills, be organized, have attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

You’ll be learning a lot. You won’t ever be comfortable just coasting along. This is a demanding role, with tons of support to help you improve your skills.

You will be expected to take responsibility for studying marketing techniques to improve your skills. You will have access to dozens of top-of-the-line online training courses, and coaching from the CEO and other team members. You’ll also have the chance to actually do the work, make some mistakes and learn from experience.

The role involves working with me (CEO), Lisa (Project Manager) and the rest of the team.

If you had been working for us in the last couple of months these are a sample of some of the tasks you would have done:

- Setup FB ad accounts (goals, pixels, campaigns)
- Create audiences in FB/IG
- Find relevant keywords (and remove negative ones) in Adwords
- Connect Adwords to Youtube or Analytics
- Come up with ideas for creatives for ads (we have a designer and copywriter)
- Split test images, headlines & copy
- Plan your week & tasks following a precise planning strategy
- Create media buying strategies for each client
- Give suggestions on how to improve opt-in pages/sales pages to increase ad conversions
- Monitor costs and return on investment (ROI)
- Create reports (weekly & monthly)

We use FB, IG and Adwords for our marketing. So any experience with this or anything similar is a must.

Tasks will be set up in our project management system (Nifty), and need to be ticked off in there so we can keep track of what has been done.

We have detailed SOPs (standard operating procedures) written up for how to do some of these jobs, and others need figuring out. Whenever there is a task that involves figuring something out you will be expected to study how to do it, come up with options and get approval before implementing it.

We work a 40 hour work week and you get paid holidays and sick days once you become a regular employee.

There will be a 3-month trial period for the role to check that we are a good match for each other (fully paid of course).

ABOUT YOU

We need someone who is:

- Well-versed with ad platforms (FB/IG/Adwords)
- Understanding persuasion and design principles, as you will be required to design ads
- Extremely organized & detail-oriented
- Able to go over a client brief think of ways to convey the message effectively based on outcome of course and audience
- hard-working – we value results not time spent on tasks. We get a lot done very quickly. You will need to as well.
- Fluent enough in English to communicate effectively with clients and other team members to understand their needs and goals, and to ensure that design projects meet their requirements
- 3+ years of experience in media buying (or equivalent)
- Likes to have a laugh – we mess around quite a lot as well as working hard

You don’t have to have experience in all the parts of the role, but the more you have experience with, the better.
