JOB OVERVIEW

The Contemplative Practice Lab is a holistic mental health service and education organization. The Contemplative Practice Lab’s mission is to demystify how to improve mental health and emotional well-being and teach people skills to cultivate long-lasting happiness. We emphasize using contemplative and somatic approaches including meditation, breath work, and mind-body practices to manage stress, transform the mind, and heal the heart.

As a start-up company, CPL seeks an experienced marketing and programming assistant who is passionate about wellness to support our marketing and communication strategy to assist in this expansion and engage a broader audience.

Responsibilities:
*Depending on the candidate’s skills and experience, primary responsibilities may include the following:
*Graphic Design: Design Canva branded templates and infographics to be used for marketing materials (flyers, brochures, social media), educational programming (worksheets, slide decks), blogs, and our website.
*Email Marketing: Build and manage an email marketing list with tags and segmenting, create email sequences, as well as send out weekly email newsletters.
*Website Updates and Blog Posts: Using material written by the founder, the assistant will update the website, create sales landing pages, and format and post blogs.
*Education Programs: Set up the backend of online workshops, and courses, manage Zoom sessions, edit videos, and set up and organize the recordings on a learning management system.

We will have video meetings to discuss and review tasks to be done, clarify your questions, share updates, and get feedback. Because this is a virtual position and the hours you work are flexible, each week you will be asked to indicate which days/hours you plan to work for the following week, track your progress, and send daily reports (what did you do today, what problems did you run into, and what can I do to make your job easier?). We’ll communicate by email and Slack and monitor project progress through the Trello project management tool.

Required qualifications:
Excellent English writing and communication skills with attention to detail
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Working knowledge of Google Docs, Canva, Slack, Asana, or Trello
Minimum 2+ years experience using Canva to create marketing materials, managing blogs, email newsletters, WordPress Divi websites, and growing audiences
Able to edit videos and organize them so they can be automatically accessed by clients
Ability to handle multiple projects and complete tasks in a timely fashion

Experience with the following preferred:

Email
marketing and Customer Relation Management programs, such as MailerLite or ConvertKit
Hosting Instagram Lives and Zoom webinars
Experience with Course Hosting platforms, such as Kajabi or ThriveCart
Knowledge of video editing software
Experience building a YouTube channel and LinkedIn newsletters
Understanding of SEO and how to optimize website content

This position includes a paid trial period to make sure that we’re the right fit for each other. Initially, we’ll start with 5 hours/week and as we add courses increase to 10+ hours, and then possibly to full-time as we grow.
