JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview:

TruTaxx Solutions, LLC, a fast-growing tax preparation firm, is looking for a highly creative and driven individual to lead and build its Social Media & Marketing department from the ground up. This role will oversee all aspects of the company’s marketing strategy, with a focus on both social media and digital marketing. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns that align with the company’s brand and business objectives, primarily targeting low-income and underserved communities in need of tax preparation services.

You will play a critical role in shaping the marketing strategy and execution for TruTaxx as it scales, ensuring we have a strong presence across all platforms, especially during tax season. Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management:
• Create, schedule, and manage content across all relevant social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
• Develop social media strategies that drive engagement, increase followers, and lead to conversions (clients booking tax services).
• Collaborate with the CEO and existing team on brand messaging to ensure all social content aligns with TruTaxx’s voice and goals.
• Use social media analytics tools to track campaign performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize reach and engagement.
• Website & SEO Management:
• Oversee the company’s website content and layout to ensure that it is optimized for lead generation and SEO best practices.
• Work on SEO strategies to improve the ranking of TruTaxx in search engines, targeting relevant keywords in the tax preparation industry.
• Manage landing page creation and optimization for various marketing campaigns (e.g., booking tax consultations, software sales, etc.).
Email & SMS Marketing:
• Design and execute email marketing campaigns aimed at nurturing client relationships and promoting tax-related services.
• Develop and manage SMS marketing campaigns, leveraging text message outreach to communicate with clients and encourage engagement (e.g., tax filing reminders, promotions).
• Build out segmented email and SMS lists based on customer preferences, tax deadlines, and service needs.
• Marketing Automation:
• Identify and use marketing automation tools to streamline processes like email campaigns, social media posting, and client follow-ups.
• Research and recommend tools/software that would benefit the growth of TruTaxx’s marketing efforts (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Hootsuite).
• Creative Content Development:
• Work with graphic designers (or take on design tasks) to produce engaging visual content for social media, ads, and the website.
• Generate video content for social media (e.g., educational reels, tax tips) to enhance engagement.
• Write copy for all marketing materials, ensuring that it’s engaging, educational, and aligns with TruTaxx’s mission.
• Lead Generation & Conversion Optimization:
• Develop campaigns that attract leads through organic and paid marketing efforts (e.g., Facebook ads, Google ads).
• Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing spend and return on investment (ROI).
• Brand Growth & Long-Term Strategy:
• Develop a long-term marketing plan that will drive awareness of TruTaxx as a leader in tax preparation services.
• Stay updated on industry trends and apply innovative marketing techniques that can differentiate TruTaxx from competitors.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with any external marketing vendors or freelancers as needed.
• Work closely with the CEO and other departments (e.g., tax preparers, customer service) to align marketing campaigns with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in marketing, with at least 1 years in a similar role (experience in the financial or tax industry is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for growth and engagement.
• Experience with SEO, website management, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and SMS marketing.
• Proficient in graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for basic design needs.
• Knowledge of marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Hootsuite) is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to craft compelling marketing copy.
• Creative, strategic, and data-driven with a desire to grow in the role.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
