Marketing Content Writer with SEO experience

We are seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) freelance contractor to work with one of our clients as a Content Marketer. As a key contributor to the marketing team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality blog content, identifying keyword and SEO opportunities through SEMRush, and supporting the overall content strategy. You’ll also help monitor website health and flag any technical SEO issues. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, experience with SEO research tools, and a proactive approach to content planning and performance optimization.


About the work
Write and develop engaging, SEO-informed blog posts.
Conduct keyword and organic growth research using SEMRush.
Provide recommendations for content topics, strategy, and optimization.
Monitor website health and flag or recommend fixes for any technical SEO issues.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with broader goals.


Boxes to check
5+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO writing, or a related field.
Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio of blog or long-form content.
Proficiency in SEMRush and other SEO research tools.
Experience with keyword research, content planning, and SEO optimization.
Familiarity with website performance tools and ability to identify basic technical SEO issues.
Proactive and detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time (20 hours/week) role.

Full-time position at $14/hr, working 20 hours per week
