ROLE SUMMARY
I'm looking for a Marketing & Brand Strategist (3 month contract, project basis) who is creative, strategic, and experienced in helping brands connect with their audience. This role is primarily strategy-focused but will involve some guidance and support in execution. Those with Senior-level experience or exceptional strategic & execution approach in prior projects/portfolio will be preferred. This will be a short-term project (~3 months), with potential for long-term engagement if a good fit & need.
In the past, I've worked as a Mental Performance Coach, supporting individuals in building mental resilience, developing effective habits, achieving high performance, and leading fulfilling lives. Now, we are in the midst of a rebrand and new launch of our coaching offer and other relevant business offerings, involving a slight shift in coaching direction.
We need help positioning our brand, understanding our audience, gathering feedback, and refining our offer(s) that are aligned with our target market's needs and can be profitable. This includes refining messaging, designing marketing funnels, developing compelling lead magnets, and offering insights on content strategies to support our growth across multiple platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop (& teach) comprehensive marketing plans & strategies to attract coaching clients and enhance engagement
- Design strategic sales funnels,
- Work closely with the coach & assistant to develop branding, positioning, and other marketing strategy
- Strategize content approaches & positioning (framework) for platforms like YouTube and Instagram to showcase coaching insights and client success stories
- Help conduct research on & define ideal coaching client personas (avatars) and craft targeted offers, positioning, & messaging strategies that align with their needs
- Guide the team in creating impactful content that educates, inspires, and builds trust, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. You will be a collaborator on content creation where applicable
- Plan and oversee webinar funnel strategies designed to introduce coaching concepts and convert leads into clients
- Provide creative direction, strategic insights, and mentorship to empower the team in executing marketing best practices
- Document strategy, notes, and approaches
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in brand strategy or marketing (coaching, personal development, or other solopreneur service-based business experience preferable). You can show us your creativity in your trial tasks.
- Must be able to strategize, communicate, teach, and execute in a collaborative setting
- Expertise in creating marketing strategies that generate leads and drive coaching client conversions
- Strong ability to design and refine marketing funnels, content strategies, and audience engagement frameworks for coaching services
- Experienced in conceptualizing impactful lead magnets, landing pages, and
- Social media marketing knowledge & strategy (getting clients in via social media; automation)
- Proficient in analyzing data to shape marketing strategies and optimize outcomes
- Strategic mindset with the ability to ideate, refine processes, and provide guidance to support team growth
- Creative thinker with a track record of designing innovative campaigns that align with coaching goals and client needs
- Good internet (with backup), your own laptop/computer (good/external storage) and camera & microphone (for video calls)
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Sales knowledge or experience
- Experience in creating compelling coaching-related content or copywriting
- SEO strategy knowledge to enhance organic reach and attract coaching clients
- Paid advertising strategy knowledge & lead generation in the coaching industry
- Web design experience (optimizing landing pages, offers, client journey flow)
