Job Overview:
The Advertising and Promotions Manager includes managing promotional activities, analyzing item performance, and ensuring effective communication with suppliers and retail partners. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of
e-commerce marketing, data analysis, and vendor relations to drive product visibility, boost sales, and
maintain strong external partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotions Management:
o Lead the development and execution of promotional strategies across e-commerce
platforms to enhance product visibility and drive sales.
o Coordinate with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure promotions are aligned
with inventory levels, seasonal trends, and overall business goals.
o Work closely with e-commerce retail partners to negotiate promotional placements and
execute agreed-upon promotional plans.
o Track and evaluate the success of promotional campaigns, making adjustments as
necessary to optimize performance.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Analyze sales and advertising data from e-commerce platforms to assess item
performance and identify trends.
o Oversee the creation of detailed reports that provide insights into campaign and
promotion effectiveness, including ROI and conversion rates.
o Use data analysis to inform strategic decisions regarding product listings, pricing, and
future advertising efforts.
o Make recommendations for changes to advertising or promotional strategies based on
performance data.
E-Commerce PPC Campaign Oversight:
o Oversee PPC advertising campaigns on platforms such as Home Depot,
Wayfair, and other online retail channels.
o Collaborate with internal marketing teams or external agencies to ensure that PPC
campaigns align with broader business objectives and are executed effectively.
o Provide strategic direction on ad placements, budgets, and performance goals, ensuring
that campaigns are in line with company objectives.
Supplier and Retailer Communication:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and e-commerce retail partners,
managing relationships and ensuring alignment on promotional and advertising
strategies.
o Negotiate advertising placements, promotional deals, and visibility opportunities on
platforms like Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, and others.
o Ensure compliance with each platform’s advertising policies and guidelines to avoid
issues and maximize product visibility.
o Collaborate with suppliers to secure support for promotions and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience overseeing PPC advertising and promotions on e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, etc.
- Strong background in promotions management within e-commerce.
- Excellent communication, with experience in managing vendor and retail partner relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting sales and advertising data to guide
strategic decisions.
- Proficiency with e-commerce analytics tools (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Connect) and
reporting software.
Skills:
- Leadership: Ability to oversee and direct PPC advertising and promotional strategies across
multiple e-commerce platforms.
- Data Analysis: Expertise in interpreting performance data and using insights to inform strategic
decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing relationships
with suppliers, retailers, and internal teams.
- Project Management: Effective project management skills to handle multiple campaigns,
deadlines, and partnerships simultaneously.
