Job Title: Marketing Assistant (Content Creation & Execution)

Rate: $5 - $8 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday to Friday
Availability Requirement: Must be responsive within 30 minutes during working hours

Job Overview:
We’re seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Assistant who will work closely with our Marketing Director to execute various marketing strategies across multiple business units such as our client NJSBDC.com, our Short Term Rental business, and Niluma Media marketing services. This role is ideal for someone skilled in graphic design, short-form video editing, social media management, and copywriting. You’ll play an essential role in creating, managing, and distributing content across all client channels, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Graphic Design:

1. Create eye-catching graphics using Canva or Adobe Photoshop for social media, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
2. Edit and produce short-form videos for social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, to drive engagement and brand awareness.
3. Design visuals for social media posts, stories, and ads that align with our brand identity and marketing goals.
Social Media Management & Engagement:

4. Support the development and implementation of content strategies that resonate with our audience.
5. Schedule and manage posts across multiple platforms using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer.
6.Engage with followers by responding to comments, and messages, and tracking analytics to continuously improve performance.

Copywriting & Brand Voice:

1. Write compelling and engaging copy for social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.
2. Ensure all written and visual content aligns with our brand voice and values.


Email
Marketing & Event Support:

1.Assist in setting up and managing email campaigns using platforms such as Constant Contact.
2. Keep email lists organized and campaigns running smoothly, ensuring timely execution.
3. Support event coordination, including setting up event details on Eventbrite and managing communications.

General Marketing & Administrative Support:

1. Maintain organized digital files, and project documentation, and track task completion.
2. Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and projects.
3. Respond promptly (within 30 minutes) to team requests during working hours.

Skills & Qualifications:
-Graphic Design & Video Editing: Proficient in Canva and Adobe Photoshop; experience with video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, -Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut).
-Social Media Management: Experience managing social media content calendars and monitoring engagement.
-Copywriting: Strong writing skills for creating engaging content across social and email platforms.
-Email Marketing & Event Coordination: Familiarity with platforms like Constant Contact and Eventbrite.
-Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and disciplined time management.
-Communication: Clear and professional communication skills, with a reliable internet connection for remote work.

Project Scope:
-Hours: 30-40 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours based on performance and company needs.
