JOB OVERVIEW

Management experience required!

Full-time, long-term opportunity.

SCHEDULE
• Training (3-6 weeks): Sunday through Friday 4:30pm-10:30pm PST (Los Angeles time)
• After training is complete: Sundays 6:00pm-10:00pm PST (Los Angeles time), Monday through Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm PST (Los Angeles time), including an hour break for lunch.
• Occasionally (maybe just once per 2-3 months) you may be asked to also be available during flexible hours, such as the mornings PST on a Saturday. Some flexibility is needed.

We are the largest salsa & bachata dance academy in Los Angeles and are always expanding.

SCHEDULE
• Three weeks training: Sunday through Friday 4:30pm-10:30pm PST (Los Angeles time)
• After training is complete: Sunday through Friday 10:30am-5:00pm PST (Los Angeles time)
• Occasionally (maybe just once per 2-3 months) you will be asked to also be available during flexible hours, such as the mornings PST on a Saturday. Some flexibility is needed.


YOUR ROLE
• Learn all current systems & SOP's for the company
• Manage the remote team (currently includes two student support staff, a content writer, and a virtual assistant, all from the Philippines, and a social media manager from Venezuela)
• Choose KPI's for yourself and everyone else
• Measure results
• Coach team members (1 on 1 video calls etc.)
• Hire/fire
• Propose projects to the business owner
• Delegate roles for new projects
• Identify the highest impact activities and prioritize accordingly
• Write new SOP's as we grow and evolve
• Communicate progress, challenges etc. to the business owner on a daily basis

Working in a small business like ours is very different from a large corporation. Some of the differences are:

• Personal tone: Our communications with students are FRIENDLY, FUN, and PERSONAL. It's like talking to your best friend. We use emoji's and exclamation points and are very personal. We take the opposite approach of large corporations that give robotic, frustrating, not very helpful support.

• More creativity: you'll handle a wide variety of tasks and projects. This is more challenging than just following strict templates, but also more stimulating and exciting.
