Position Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-driven Logistics Coordinator – Supply Chain to manage the logistics and operational aspects of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will oversee purchase orders, freight forwarding, trucking, and cost comparisons to optimize the movement of goods, ensuring timely delivery while minimizing costs. You will collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to streamline operations and meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Order Management:
Monitor and track purchase orders from issuance to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, timelines, and shipping arrangements.
Reconcile invoices and purchase orders, resolving discrepancies as needed.
Freight and Shipping Coordination:
Arrange domestic and international freight forwarding, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Negotiate freight rates with carriers and freight forwarders to minimize costs while maintaining service quality.
Oversee trucking and last-mile delivery arrangements, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Track and monitor shipments, providing updates to stakeholders and resolving delivery issues.
Cost Management and Analysis:
Conduct cost comparisons for shipping, freight forwarding, and trucking services.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.
Prepare and analyze reports on freight costs, transit times, and operational efficiency.
Inventory and Logistics Support:
Collaborate with warehouse teams to coordinate inventory transfers, inbound deliveries, and outbound shipments.
Ensure appropriate documentation for inventory movement, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and invoices.
Work with internal teams to forecast shipping needs based on inventory levels and sales trends.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight invoices, and customs documentation.
Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including customs and tariffs.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics activities.
