Loan Officer Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
• Documentation Verification: Ensure all documents are accurate and complete.
• Data Entry and Application Lodging: Input data into different CRMs and submit
applications online.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work with all parties to process applications up to
settlement.
• Progress Updates: Keep brokers and clients informed of application status. Address
broker and partner queries accurately.
• Follow-Ups: Contact lenders and/or clients via phone or
updates.
• Policy and Product Knowledge: Continuously update knowledge on different lenders
policies through attending trainings.
• Loan Settlements: Ensure all aspects of loan settlements are completed accurately
and timely.
• Settlement Preparation: Ensure all files are ready for settlement and notify
customers once booked.
• Post-Settlement Actions: Set up action plans and support clients with loan
maintenance.
• Regular Follow-Ups: Check in with clients every six months and handle loan change
requests.
• Cash Rebates: Apply and confirm rebates.
• Reviews: Conduct birthday and annual reviews, including follow-up on fixed rate
expiries.
• Construction Progress Drawdown:
Collect and follow up on construction document checklists.
Follow up on commencement letters and send them to the builder/customer.
Track construction progress until completion.
Qualifications and Experience:
• At least 2-3 years Australian mortgage experience
• Must have an experience in any Australian Mortgage CRM
• Excellent attention to detail
• High level of spoken and written English communication skills
• Has excellent problem-solving skills and a quick learner
• Analytical and with good numeracy skills
• Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
• Good interpersonal skills
