Lighting Designer – Tender Preparation Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Lighting Designer with expertise in tender preparation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, experience in lighting design and estimation, and the ability to manage projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Specify luminaires for commercial lighting packages.

Develop innovative and competitive lighting and emergency lighting designs using Dialux for commercial and industrial projects.

Generate lighting calculations, compliance documentation, and detailed CAD drawings for indoor and outdoor lighting systems, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.

Work with control protocols such as DALI, Casambi, and DMX.

Perform symbol counts using Bluebeam estimating software.

Provide daily project updates and attend technical meetings.

Ensure compliance with Australian National Building Codes and Green Star design principles.

Prepare and submit tender documentation with accuracy and efficiency.

Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely delivery of assignments.

Manage workload independently and maintain a steady pipeline of tender enquiries and estimates.

Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.

3–5 years of experience in lighting design and electrical estimating.

Strong knowledge of lighting applications and electrical standards (Australia/New Zealand).

Proficiency in Dialux, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with Excel Power Query.

Ability to interpret architectural, electrical, and technical documentation.

Excellent color vision, attention to detail, and time management skills.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal in English).

Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to perform under tight deadlines.
