Leasing Agent – Affordable & Subsidized Housing | 400 units and growing!

Stanton Management LLC is seeking an experienced Leasing Agent to join our team! We specialize in affordable and subsidized housing, and we’re looking for a motivated professional who understands Section 8 and other rental assistance programs. If you have a passion for helping individuals and families find stable housing, this could be the perfect role for you!

Responsibilities:
- Manage the leasing process from start to finish, including screening applicants, preparing leases, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations.
- Work closely with Section 8 caseworkers and other agencies to facilitate smooth lease-ups and recertifications.
- Maintain an organized and updated knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, and other subsidized housing programs.
- Assist tenants with paperwork and guide them through income verification and subsidy requirements.
- Market available units, conduct property tours, and answer inquiries from prospective tenants.
- Handle lease renewals, transfers, and notices while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws.
- Keep accurate records in AppFolio, our property management software.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to coordinate move-ins, inspections, and unit readiness.

Requirements:
?? Experience in leasing, property management, or a related field, preferably in subsidized housing
?? Familiarity with Section 8, HUD, and other rental assistance programs
?? Strong communication and customer service skills
?? Ability to handle paperwork efficiently and stay organized
?? Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance regulations
?? Experience with AppFolio (or willingness to learn) is a plus
?? Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required
