We also offer a full line of hair and skin care products to help swimmers keep their hair and skin healthy. We sell 100% DTC, all Ecommerce.
That’s where you come in as our next Lead Video Editor. You will skillfully create engaging video content and guide our video creative efforts with a strong artistic sense and stylistic confidence.
Scorecard (Metrics to Measure Performance):
- Successful conceptualization and execution of video ads across multiple digital channels
- Creation of engaging and high-quality motion graphics.
- Social media advertising ROAS
-Timely delivery of video projects
What Success Looks Like:
A successful Lead Video Editor will be someone who is both highly creative and technically skilled. You must be able to create video concepts independently, edit engaging content for social media advertising, and produce custom motion graphics that stand out.
A winning candidate will be someone who loves storytelling through video and has a deep understanding of modern internet culture and social media trends. You’re someone who is highly self-reliant and capable of guiding our video content strategy without relying on explicit shot lists.
ONE THING:
Primary Objectives 20% BIG ROCKS – These must be done first and at all costs:
- Conceptualize and continuously test new video ads across multiple digital channels.
- Create high-converting product videos for our sales pages.
Regular Work Activities 80% – These must be done ongoing daily/weekly after the BIG ROCKS are complete:
- Edit engaging video content for social media using existing user-generated videos and in-house B-roll.
- Maintain a full buffer of scheduled video content.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends to create relevant, engaging content.
- Collaborate with the CMO and creative team to plan and execute video projects.
As Needed Activities – These must be done once assigned:
- Film and edit original content as needed.
- Mandatory Meetings – These meetings must be attended and meeting minutes taken and distributed:
- Weekly 1on1 with CMO
- Monthly company all-hands
- As-needed marketing tea
Key Skills – What behavioral traits, attitudes, and skills are required:
- Strong understanding of story-based video editing
- Expert at custom motion graphics
- Experience creating marketing videos for paid ads
- Keen understanding of modern internet culture and social media trends
- Self-reliant in creating video concepts and editing content
- BONUS: Ability to film and edit original content
- BONUS: Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices
People Contacts and Interactions – What are the primary people contacts in this job (who, why, and how often)?
- CMO: You will report to our head of marketing. You’ll meet weekly for 1on1’s and work together on strategy and video projects.
- Creative Team: You will assist our creative team in planning and executing their projects.
- Operations Team: You will collaborate with our operations team to ensure seamless execution of video content.
Qualifications:
- Native-level English skills + deep understanding of American culture.
- 5+ years of experience in video production and motion graphics.
- Proven track record of creating engaging video content for paid ads.
- Strong portfolio showcasing custom motion graphics and story-based video editing.
