We are looking for Landscaping Junior Estimator. The ideal candidates are results-driven, passionate about the green industry and contributing to growth.
Job Summary
Procure bidding opportunities through various means to increase company backlog and future growth.
Accurately read and interpret project specifications, plans, and blueprints to develop comprehensive quantity and material price take-offs.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly bid schedules, adjusting workloads as needed to ensure all deadlines are met.
Efficiently create take-off quantities using CAD and other landscape software, ensuring complete and accurate proposal documentation.
Prepare and present complete proposals, including PCOs or addenda, to Project Managers and clients.
Maintain, organize, and analyze all project-related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Compile project cost summaries, present findings, and provide recommendations for cost improvements to clients and internal teams.
Work closely with landscape architects, clients, contractors, and sub-contractors to adjust and refine cost estimates as needed.
Track the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, and services, ensuring that actual costs align with initial bids
Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance cost estimating procedures, utilizing historical data to reduce future discrepancies.
Keep up-to-date with current market pricing, building codes, laws, and regulations relevant to the landscape construction industry.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Proficient with CAD and other landscape software programs as well as Blue Beam.
Knowledge of landscape construction industry, concrete/masonry, building techniques and engineering.
Knowledge of current project market pricing.
Ability to read, interpret and follow blueprints as well as other planning/technical documents.
Familiarity with building codes, laws and regulations.
Understand construction concepts, scheduling, bidding and estimating.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
3 years of landscape, construction and estimating experience preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in an industry-related field, such as architecture, construction management or engineering
