Prepress/ Production Artist

We are looking for a dedicated LABEL ARTIST - a highly experienced and intelligent individual, with strong attention to detail, who can work quickly under pressure, with the utmost accuracy.

Job Description:
- Prepare customer artwork for printing by reviewing spelling, type size, UPC verification, template/die lines, traps, overprints, text limits, line thickness, distortion, colors, bleeds, mounting marks, and registrations marks.
- Preflight and prep customer artwork for digital and flexographic production.
- Review job specs and customer requirements, art size, and number of colors.
- Revise existing artwork as needed to meet operational standards.
- Perform quality checks to ensure the artwork is accurate; and matches customer requirements.
- Interact with the customer service, sales, and production departments to resolve any issues or problems
- Facilitates customer press checks in a timely manner.
- Maintain electronic files.
- Follow established quality management system procedures.
- Complete quality documents to ensure adherence to procedures.
- Adheres to all established safety practices.

Experience Requirements:
+ At least 2 years of Flexographic Pre-Press Artist experience is preferred.
Desired Traits/Requirements:
+ Applicants should have excellent problem-solving skills.
+ Applicants MUST have EXPERT-level Adobe Illustrator skills and have a good working knowledge of Photoshop.
+ Prepress experience required.

*Please note that this is NOT a creative position. It is focused on evaluation and correcting customer-submitted work using Adobe Illustrator.

Must have a MAC or knowledge of using MAC OS.
Our prepress department is Mac-based.
