Job Overview:

We are seeking an L1 Technician to support system upgrades and backend setups for a Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role focuses on processing onboarding steps, preparing systems for deployment, and handling backend updates outside of regular business hours.

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT support and be comfortable working independently during overnight hours. The first week may require a slight schedule adjustment (starting an hour earlier) to accommodate account setup.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute onboarding steps for new systems, including naming and preparing devices for deployment.
Perform backend system setup to ensure smooth integration and functionality.
Review and update backend configurations that do not require business-hour support.
Follow standardized workflows to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Document completed tasks and communicate updates to internal teams.
Troubleshoot basic IT issues related to onboarding and system setup.
Install and configure basic software (e.g., operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Line of Business Apps)
Relevant Basic Windows Server knowledge including:
Microsoft Active Directory Administration
DHCP and DNS Knowledge
Microsoft Windows Server Support (2016/2019/2022)
Microsoft Windows Desktop Support (Windows 10/11)

Qualifications:

1 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role (MSP experience preferred).
Familiarity with system deployment, device provisioning, and IT onboarding processes.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently during overnight hours.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.
Experience with remote management tools, Active Directory, and ticketing systems is a plus.
Understanding basic network concepts, such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
Familiarity with connecting to Business VPN services
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Accounts, Licensing, etc.)
Good written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting.
