About the Role:
We are seeking a patient, creative, and enthusiastic tutor to provide one-on-one educational enrichment for a 2-year-old child. The ideal candidate will foster a love for learning through interactive and engaging activities in English, Maths, Speech Therapy, Etiquette, Arts and Crafts, and an introduction to History.
This role focuses on nurturing early childhood development, enhancing cognitive, social, and creative skills, and building a strong educational foundation for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
English Language Development:
Introduce the alphabet, phonics, and early vocabulary through songs, stories, and visual aids.
Encourage speech development and comprehension through conversational activities.
Math Skills:
Teach basic counting, shapes, and colors through play-based learning techniques.
Use engaging tools like puzzles, flashcards, and blocks to reinforce concepts.
Speech Therapy:
Work on pronunciation, articulation, and vocabulary building.
Incorporate speech-enhancing exercises, such as repetition, word association, and storytelling.
Etiquette and Social Skills:
Teach polite phrases, table manners, and sharing through role-playing and interactive games.
Reinforce positive behaviors like listening, following instructions, and taking turns.
Arts and Crafts:
Plan and guide creative activities, such as drawing, painting, and simple crafts, to encourage fine motor skill development and creativity.
Introduce basic concepts of colors, patterns, and textures through hands-on projects.
History Introduction:
Introduce basic historical concepts using stories, visuals, and age-appropriate props (e.g., "Who built castles?" or "How people lived in the past").
Use storytelling to create curiosity about people, places, and traditions.
Progress Tracking:
Monitor and record developmental milestones and adjust lessons accordingly.
Provide feedback and recommendations to parents regarding the child’s progress.
Qualifications:
Experience working with toddlers or in early childhood education.
Background in education, speech therapy, child psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Creative, patient, and adaptable to the child’s learning pace and needs.
Strong understanding of developmental milestones for toddlers.
