Junior Developer (PHP Focused) – Remote (US Business Hours)

We're looking for a Junior Developer who's eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the development and improvement of our existing PHP-based application. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate on our upcoming migration project to a modern frontend stack (React), but prior React experience is not required.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Maintain and support our existing PHP application
• Collaborate with the team on planned modernization efforts
• Work closely with other developers and stakeholders via Google Meet during US business hours (Monday to Friday) — full presence required
• Participate in daily code reviews, planning sessions, and occasional pair programming
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code


What We're Looking For:
• Working knowledge of PHP (framework experience like Laravel or CodeIgniter is a plus)
• Familiarity with JavaScript
• Understanding of Docker and ability to work in containerized environments
• Willingness to work remotely during US business hours, with full-time presence on Google Meet
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, growth-focused mindset


Nice to Have (But Not Required):
• Experience with React or interest in learning frontend frameworks
• Exposure to Node.js
• REST API knowledge
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows
