Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong experience in SQL Server and database administration best practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in database performance tuning, backups, security, and troubleshooting. While this is a junior role, we are looking for someone who is eager to take ownership of their work and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
• Monitor database health and performance, optimizing queries and indexes as needed.
• Collaborate with development teams to support database needs and troubleshoot issues.
• Provide operational data support by building queries and data outputs in response to Operational and Finance department data needs.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with security policies.
• Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and respond to database-related incidents.

Required Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on SQL Server.
• Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL scripting for database administration tasks.
• Experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies.
• Understanding of database security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
• Experience working in a Microsoft Azure environment (Azure SQL, Managed Instances, etc.).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI for reporting and analytics.
• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms, particularly BigCommerce.
