Junior Data Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Identify, gather, and integrate data from various internal systems and external sources, including APIs,
JSON, XML, and other formats.
• Map, clean, validate, and preprocess data from sources such as PDFs and Excel files to ensure accuracy,
consistency, and reliability.
• Design and build basic data pipelines, including ETL processes, ensuring efficient data flow and storage.
• Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Support high-priority issues and incidents as needed, responding quickly to resolve data-related
challenges.
• Assist with production deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting in a timely manner.

• Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and data consistency.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive projects forward.
• Able to explain technical concepts and data-related tasks to non-technical stakeholders in clear, easy-to-
understand language.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Professional & Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience with Python, specifically in working with data structures, data types, and handling
APIs, JSON, XML.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL, MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g.,
MongoDB).
• Understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL pipelines, data mapping, and transformation.
• Familiarity with tools for handling and processing data in Excel and PDF formats.
• Experience with data validation and cleansing techniques.
• Basic understanding of database management systems and the use of SQL for data querying and
management.
• Understanding of Python programming principles, especially for data handling.
