JOB OVERVIEW

Part-Time Inventory Specialist - Amazon FBA Brand

Our company is an innovative and fast-growing health and wellness brand that is 3 years old. Currently we have just a handful of products, but as we expand, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Inventory Specialist to manage our inventory needs and work closely with management and our vendors to ensure seamless operations. This role will require regular coordination with Amazon Seller Central, Xero, and our production team to maintain optimal stock levels and never run low or out of inventory available for sale on Amazon.

Job Summary:

As a Part-Time Inventory Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring we always have adequate stock across multiple sales channels, including Amazon FBA and our Shopify store. You will work closely with our vendors to balance lead times, forecast demand, and manage purchase orders. A key part of the role will be pulling reports from Amazon Seller Central and using Xero to track and audit inventory, ensuring that all outstanding purchase orders are accounted for. Your proactive approach will prevent stockouts, allowing us to keep up with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

Pull inventory reports from Amazon Seller Central to monitor stock levels and track sales trends
Use Xero to match outstanding purchase orders with inventory records, auditing for missing stock and reconciling any discrepancies
Set and adjust reorder points and quantities by SKU, balancing lead times with demand forecasts
Communicate regularly with vendors to manage purchase orders, ensuring timely production and delivery
Audit and track any missing or lost inventory, taking proactive steps to resolve issues
Forecast inventory needs quarterly, using both data and your experience to override forecasts when necessary to account for production nuances
Collaborate with the production team to ensure orders are placed at the right times to avoid stockouts
Monitor stock levels across sales channels and ensure consistent product availability, especially on Amazon
Provide inventory reports for monthly meetings, highlighting any potential stock issues or overstock concerns
Maintain a healthy cash flow by optimizing inventory ordering and balancing it with lead times and production schedules
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in an e-commerce environment
Proficiency in Amazon Seller Central and Xero for tracking and auditing inventory
Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams effectively
Experience with Amazon FBA inventory management is highly preferred
Ability to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and resolve missing stock issues
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Experience in the health and wellness or consumer goods industry is a plus
Why Join Us?

Flexible part-time hours with the ability to manage your own schedule
Be a part of a dynamic, mission-driven brand making a real difference in people’s lives
Work remotely with a global team and build relationships with key vendors in our supply chain
