JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Remote IT Support Officer to join our growing team. This role will provide technical assistance to end users, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and services. A key focus of the role includes managing Microsoft 365 security compliance and related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, a customer-first approach, and a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
IT Support:
•Provide remote technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues by phone, email, or with remote access software via Teamviewer.
•Diagnose and troubleshoot IT issues across a variety of systems and devices.
•Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software.
•Respond to and resolve support requests
•Educate users on IT tools and best practices to enhance efficiency.

Microsoft 365 Administration:
•Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including user accounts, groups, and licenses.
•Monitor, maintain, and enforce Microsoft 365 security compliance policies.
•Implement and manage Microsoft 365 features such as Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Information Rights Management (IRM).
•Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with organisational requirements.
•Troubleshoot Microsoft 365-related issues, including email, Teams, and SharePoint

Security and Compliance:
•Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities across the organization.
•Ensure adherence to IT security protocols, policies, and standards.
•Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness training for employees.
•Perform regular security checks, including vulnerability assessments.

Documentation and Reporting:
•Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of IT systems, procedures, and support activities.
•Generate compliance and security reports for internal review and audits.
•Contribute to the IT knowledge base by documenting solutions to common issues.
•Any duties and responsibilities otherwise assigned by onshore staff
Continuous Improvement:
•Stay updated on the latest technologies, security threats, and compliance regulations.
•Propose and implement improvements to IT processes and workflows.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
•Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security features is essential.

Technical Skills:
•Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks
•Familiarity with ticketing systems
•Knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.

Soft Skills:
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or similar would be looked on favourably.
•Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) would be looked on favourably.
•Knowledge of cloud-based security solutions (e.g., Azure AD, Intune).
