JOB OVERVIEW

Are you a skilled medical biller with experience in outpatient services? A growing outpatient therapy practice specializing in in-home physical, occupational, and speech therapy services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Biller to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring efficient operations and timely reimbursement for our services, which help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life in the comfort of their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process and submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance providers for outpatient in-home therapy services.
Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage to ensure proper billing.
Manage follow-ups on unpaid claims, handle denials, and prepare appeals to secure reimbursements.
Maintain organized and accurate billing records while managing accounts receivable.
Ensure compliance with all payer-specific regulations and federal/state billing guidelines.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address and resolve billing discrepancies.
Prepare and present reports related to billing, collections, and reimbursement trends.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in medical billing for outpatient therapy or home health services.
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing procedures and regulations.
Strong understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, and modifier use.
Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain accountability in a remote or hybrid work environment.
Certification as a Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent is preferred but not required.
