Hiring: Podcast Audio Producer/Editor

We are looking for an experienced Podcast Audio Producer/Editor to join our team and help craft engaging, high-quality audio experiences. If you have a strong understanding of African American culture and conversational nuance, a sharp ear for detail, and the ability to edit in a way that enhances storytelling, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

???? Edit and produce podcast episodes using Adobe Audition
???? Enhance the flow of conversations by removing silences, filler words, and unnecessary content
???? Incorporate ads, intros, and outros with seamless transitions
???? Balance audio levels and ensure professional-grade sound quality
???? Bring fresh ideas for editing styles to keep episodes dynamic and engaging
???? Work with project management tools like Airtable to stay organized
???? Meet strict deadlines—episodes must have a 48-hour turnaround time
???? Attend bi-weekly calls for team updates and feedback

What We’re Looking For:

? Fluent in English (written & spoken)
? Strong understanding of African American culture and how to handle culturally nuanced conversations in editing
? Self-starter who can suggest and implement new ideas to improve the listening experience
? Podcast audio editing experience is a MUST—this is more than just cutting silences! You should understand pacing, flow, and how to make conversations compelling
? Ability to properly place and blend ads, intros, and outros
