Highly Technical WordPress Designer and Developer with SEO Skills

Open to Both Agencies and Independent Contractors (Project-based)

We are a dynamic and growing company seeking a skilled WordPress Designer and Developer to join our team. We are open to working with independent contractors and agencies who specialize in creating custom WordPress websites, managing SEO, handling website migrations, and providing ongoing support for hosting and domains. If you have a portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in these areas, we would love to collaborate with you!


Responsibilities:

-Design and develop custom WordPress themes and templates from scratch.
-Collaborate with clients to understand their website needs and transform those into creative, user-friendly, and responsive WordPress websites.
-Perform website migrations, including transferring content, themes, and plugins between servers or platforms without losing SEO rankings.
-Manage hosting setup and configurations, ensuring proper server and domain configurations for optimal website performance.
-Provide ongoing support for website hosting, domain management, and troubleshooting issues related to hosting services.
-Implement and optimize SEO best practices, ensuring on-page SEO optimization, keyword strategies, and overall search engine visibility.
-Troubleshoot and resolve issues with WordPress websites, offering continued maintenance and updates.
-Ensure websites are mobile-responsive and cross-browser compatible.
-Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress design, development, and SEO trends, tools, and technologies.


Requirements:

-Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites (Portfolio is a must).
-Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development.
-Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and website architecture.
-Experience with website migration, including handling content, databases, and DNS settings.
-In-depth understanding of SEO best practices, on-page and off-page SEO, and using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.
-Strong experience with hosting services (cPanel, VPS, shared hosting, etc.) and domain management (DNS configurations, SSL setup, etc.).
-Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or similar.
-Expertise in responsive web design, mobile-first strategies, and performance optimization.
-Ability to manage multiple projects independently or as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Skills:

-Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce sites.
-Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
-Experience with website security, backup solutions, and version control systems (Git).
-Ability to manage and coordinate multiple contractors (for agencies).
-Experience with website analytics and A/B testing to improve site performance.
